The course has been an absolute delight to follow, and Mahmoud is an excellent teacher who manages to make the material very interesting in spite of the pre-supposed theoretical nature of the subject. "The lessons are very useful to me as a composer. With Mahmoud’s tips, I am already composing faster and with overthinking the process. The lessons have plenty of helpful tips an techniques that give us more structure and brings cohesiveness in our compositions. He also asks questions often and makes sure we understand the concepts explained, he will explain again and again until we understand the concepts."

"I have tried to study theory my entire adult life of almost 40 years and am new to the study of composition. I have never been able to “get it”, and I just thought I was too old to learn. Mahmoud has been able to teach me in 12 sessions what I have never been able to learn before. And add in the study of composition in relation to theory and wow what a great course of learning! I have gotten all of that and more working with Mahmoud. His lessons are thorough yet accessible, and the assignments are challenging and allow for individual creativity as opposed to rote memorization. He is patient with me when I struggle with topics, and if we need to go back and review we do. He puts the needs and learning of the student ahead of the need to “stay on schedule” and follow the syllabus. I have come so far in just a few short sessions. "I have been studying Music Theory and giving Grades exams since last 5yrs , but the time I started to compose I made my life so much complicated by thinking in terms of theoretical perspective while composing. I thought music theory is great tool for composition. The first person who changes my mind within a very short period of time was Mahmmoud Sir in his Counterpoint classes. I attend 7 online live classes it was outstanding .Sir introduced many new techniques which I never learnt before . I remember Mahmoud Sir says "Theory is a tool for analysis , but in composition it's different" . Now I blindly believe this statement and I know that I am in a good hands. His lessons are very much practical and enjoyable. Courses are very much structural and one of advantages is after doing the class if you missed anything , no worry you can access lessons videos on official website. I am now looking forward to join Mahmoud Sir Composition/Orchestration classes hoping a lot to feel fulfilled as a learner. Thank you Sir for accepting me as your disciple. "
