“Dreams of a Quiet Sky”
During the war in Gaza, the sky was never silent. The constant roar of warplanes and the ominous buzz of reconnaissance drones filled the air, becoming the soundtrack of fear and anxiety. Each sound carried with it an unspoken threat, a reminder of the fragility of life and the uncertainty of each passing moment.
In those dark times, I found myself longing for something simple yet profound: a quiet sky. A sky free of violence, where the only sounds would be the wind and the songs of birds, not the echoes of destruction.
“Dream of a Quiet Sky” is a deeply personal reflection of that longing. Written for solo piano, this piece captures the sadness, fear, and worry that shadowed my family and countless others during those difficult days. The melodies are heavy with sorrow, yet beneath the tension lies a faint glimmer of hope—a fragile wish for peace, for a day when the sky would no longer be a source of terror but a canvas of calm.
Through this music, I hope to give voice to those unspoken emotions and to remind listeners of the quiet beauty that can exist even in the most tumultuous times.
