One day, while I was working at ESNCM, a remarkable event took place that sparked the creation of one of my compositions. It all began when my talented colleague, Elina, approached me with a heartfelt request: she asked if I could write a captivating piece of music. Elina envisioned this composition to be a duet for violin and piano, as she and our colleague Yuliya were eager to bring it to life through their exceptional musical skills.

With enthusiasm in their hearts, Elina and Yuliya premiered our creation during one of our cherished weekly music concerts. The audience was captivated by the harmonious interplay between the violin and piano, as the piece resonated with their souls. It was a truly magical moment, fueling our determination to share this composition with a wider audience.

Driven by our passion for music, we eagerly seized an opportunity to showcase our composition once again. The prestigious Jerusalem Cinematic Festival presented the perfect stage for our artistry. In line with Elina and Yuliya’s profound appreciation for the elegance of baroque music, I composed the piece in the enchanting chaconne style. This stylistic choice added a timeless quality to the composition, embracing the deep-rooted traditions of the baroque era.

As the melodies unfolded, accompanied by the rhythmic undulations of the chaconne, the audience was entranced by the emotional journey they embarked upon. The delicate harmonies and intricate interplay between the violin and piano cast a spell over the listeners, carrying them through a realm of musical enchantment.

Witnessing the power of our composition resonating within the hearts of those who listened, I couldn’t help but feel an immense sense of pride and gratitude for the collaboration with Elina and Yuliya. Their exceptional talents breathed life into the notes I penned, transforming them into an exquisite musical masterpiece that transcended mere sounds.

Through our shared dedication and unwavering commitment to our craft, we have succeeded in creating a composition that evokes the spirit of the baroque era while captivating contemporary audiences. The journey from its humble beginnings at ESNCM to the grand stage of the Jerusalem Cinematic Festival has been nothing short of extraordinary.

As we continue to pursue our artistic endeavors, we remain inspired by the boundless possibilities that lie within the realm of music. Our composition stands as a testament to the enduring power of collaboration and the profound impact that music can have on our lives. It is my hope that this piece will continue to be performed and cherished, spreading joy and evoking emotions in the hearts of all who encounter it.
